UTICA® solar energy systems can be installed on many different types of roofs and the architectural clay tiled roof is one of the most common type. The steel hook brackets are inserted beneath the tiles and secured to the rafters with no penetration to the tiles. The PV railing tracks are mounted to the hooks leaving a space ventilation between the roof and the photovoltaic modules. This also allows for air circulation to cool between solar modules and the roof.
